Bilberry Extract description

Bilberries are small fruits similar to blueberries produced by the _Vaccinium myrtillus_ shrub. Much like blueberries, they contain high percentages of anthocyanins, potent antioxidants. Research shows that 90% of the phenolic compounds in _Vaccinium myrtillus_ berries are anthocyanins. These phenolic compounds can help curb pro-aging damage from environmental stressors. This antioxidant-rich ingredient can strengthen skin against signs of redness, likely due to its calming properties. Bilberry can also boost skin’s environmental defenses in the presence of UVA light.
