Their specific benefits for skin depend on species, however, most blackberry extracts work to help defend skin against pro-aging and damaging external aggressors, like UV rays and pollution. Blackberry extracts can be taken from the fruits, seeds, leaves and roots of these plants. They’re used in various amounts in cosmetics, either on their own in amounts from 0.01%–1% or as parts of multi-berry blends whose recommended use levels vary.
